In the video, Maestro Francesco Lotoro was in Auschwitz (Oświęcim, Poland) this morning, on the occasion of the opening to the public of the home of Rudolf Höss, the former camp commandant. The place where Höss and his family lived their golden daily life, just a short distance from the extermination camp, is about to be transformed into the International Center for Research, Education, and Action against Extremism and Antisemitism (ARCHER at House 88 , named after the street number of Höss's home) by the Counter Extremism Project. Following the restoration of the house, entrusted to architect Daniel Libeskind , who in 2004 redesigned Ground Zero in New York after the collapse of the Twin Towers, one of the rooms will be dedicated—the Francesco Lotoro Sound Hall— to Francesco Lotoro's thirty-year research into concentration camp music. The Center's project is promoted by Mark D. Wallace , former US Ambassador to the UN and now CEO of the Counter Extremism Project.
