Photo Gallery: Images from the inauguration of the Library/Mediatheque of Musical Sciences

At the CAM of Barletta, in Via del Salvatore 48 , the ILMC Foundation inaugurated yesterday the headquarters of the Bibliomediateca of Musical Sciences and the publishing house ILMC Edizioni . The initiative - which enjoyed the collaboration of the Archival and Bibliographic Superintendency of Puglia and the State Archives of Bari - was attended by the Mayor of Barletta Dr. Cosimo Damiano Cannito , the Superintendent Marco Giacomo Bascapè (Archival and Bibliographic Superintendency of Puglia), Adriano Buzzanca (director of the State Archives of Bari and of the Barletta and Trani Sections), Grazia Di Bari (Regional Councilor), the archivist and cataloging manager of the Bibliomediateca Esther Larosa , the diplomat Antonio Bernardini, Giovanni Frisone , son of the interned artist Ferruccio Francesco Frisone, the president of the ILMC Foundation Francesco Lotoro.

A culmination of concentration camp music research, the Library and Media Library of Musical Sciences contains the library and audiovisual materials of the ILMC Foundation, comprising thousands of books, encyclopedias, scientific and theoretical literature on the subject, publications, and essays. Equipped with two large reading and reference rooms and dedicated research stations, the Library and Media Library will provide all library services upon reservation. Thanks to the collaboration with the CAM, it will also host conferences and meetings with authors, writers, and cultural and artistic figures.

The work of the ILMC Foundation has recently seen a notable expansion thanks to the establishment of the publishing house ILMC Edizioni , which began its publishing activity with the publication of the catalogue of the figurative exhibition of the designer Ferruccio Francesco Frisone (an exhibition that opens tomorrow, October 24, at the Trani Museum Center and will remain open until January 31, 2025); the headquarters of ILMC Edizioni is temporarily located in a room of the Bibliomediateca delle Scienze Musicali.
