Music and images of a tragedy. The Jews of Rome from everyday life to the Holocaust: a meeting at the Central State Archives for Holocaust Remembrance Day.
On February 20, 2023, starting at 10:00 a.m. , Maestro Francesco Lotoro will be a guest of the Central State Archives in Rome for the meeting "Music and Images of a Tragedy. The Jews of Rome from Everyday Life to the Shoah," an initiative scheduled for Holocaust Remembrance Day 2023, organized in collaboration with the Jewish Community of Rome and the Shoah Museum Foundation of Rome.

The aim of the initiative, aimed at upper secondary schools in the capital, is to convey, through the power of musical and visual narratives, how the shattered lives of people who were perfectly integrated into the social, economic, and cultural fabric of Italy before the unjustifiable tragedy. The expected outcome is to encourage interested schools to explore further, particularly through workshop activities, some of the key themes that emerged during the morning.

Introduction to concentration camp music. Music will accompany the screening of the above images, curated by Maestro Francesco Lotoro , Foundation Institute of Concentration Camp Musical Literature . Screening of a series of images, with musical accompaniment.
