SEARCHING FOR THE LAST MUSIC

a film by

ALEXANDRE VALENTI

FOR CINEMA AND TELEVISION

"a tribute to life and love for music"

"a story of people who chose music as an act of resistance"

"it will be like freeing music from imprisonment camps"

present

As if in a “road movie”, we follow the Maestro who, like a modern Sherlock Holmes, guided by his intuition and by the clues he gathers, sets off on journeys with uncertain outcomes, alternating surprises and disappointments, discoveries and intense encounters. From the flea market of Prague, to the archives of camps; from the attics of the heirs of composers, to within the collections of museums, all over Europe, America and the East, to recover, decipher, classify and archive a heritage of mankind that has been forgotten for 70 years: the music composed in Second World War concentration camps

THE DIRECTOR

ALEXANDRE VALENTI

Born in Argentina (Villa Canas, Sante Fe), Alexandre Valenti is an author, director and producer of documentary films for cinema and TV.

He teaches cinema studies at the University of Valenciennes and Hainaut Cambresis (France). He started his career as a freelance photographer and reporter for NBC News, covering the political, social and economic situation in Europe, Africa and the Middle East: he has contributed to a number of programs, including «Today Show» and «Nocturnal news items».

He was also a photo reporter for Japanese TV (Fuji TV, TV Ashai and TV OSAKA).

Today he is a documentary director recognized internationally thanks to his talent: he recently directed the film “Argentina, the 500 Stolen Babies of the Dictatorship”, produced by INTUITION Films & Docs, in coproduction with CEPA audiovisuals (Argentina) and Bo Travail!, and with the participation of France 5. The film was awarded with the:
