Trip to Germany
Berlin
Francesco Lotoro

The trip was made without collaborators, due to unavailability.
The aim was to acquire the musical works written during and after the deportation to Theresienstadt by the Czech Jewish composer Erich Orlický (pseudonym of Erich Adler), works located at the Akademie der Künste in Berlin (located at Robert-Koch-Platz 10) and for which the authorization – obtained in good time – of his son Jaroslav Nathan Adler, resident in Antwerp, was required.
Anastatic copies of the following works by Orlický have finally been acquired: Terezínská sonatina pro housle a klavír, Smyčcový kvartet, Smyčcová tria, Vergebliches Warten, Der Weg des Leidens, Theresienstädter Skizzen for string orchestra, Eine Nacht im Ghetto.
